The BPS consultation will last from 30-45 minutes. Remember, that at BPS, the person you meet will be your surgeon. There is a fee for this expertise and advice but the value of this information is the only thing we will promote to you. Even if you are sure which procedure you want, this personal meeting with your surgeon will help you avoid the pitfalls and complications that can befall the cosmetic surgery client who has a “free” consultation with a clinic’s sales team.
It is important to tell your surgeon about any medication that you take, so bring the details. Be open about your medical history, the information will be confidential but it may have relevance for your surgery. Be prepared to be honest about any use of cigarettes and your consumption of alcohol.
The treatment options or procedures will be explained in full as will the implications, expectations and complications. The implications describe the normal experience of the treatment, the expectations explain what realistically is possible and of course we have to explain to you what possible complications there might be. We have a low incidence of complications but never-the-less they need to be discussed.
Elsewhere on this website we have explanations of each Procedure but remember that these explanations are designed to be used in conjunction with the consultation. They can be a useful memory aid.
You now have time to reflect before taking the Next Step.
