Nigel Mercer featured in Aesthetics
Experiences in plastic and aesthetic surgery
Mr Nigel Mercer, part of our BPS team of plastic and reconstructive surgeons, has been featured in this month’s Aesthetics Journal, one of the top professional journals for medical aesthetic professionals.
Detailing his early desire to dedicate his life to medicine and the ‘light bulb’ moment when plastic surgery started to become his focus at the tender age of 11 years we see that surgery is a way of life for Mr Mercer, not just a profession. With a career that has taken Nigel to many medical centres of excellence Mr Mercer now divides his time between Bristol Plastic Surgery and his NHS practice as a leading consultant plastic surgeon.
In addition to his current presidency of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and dedication to the collaborative nature of international meetings what comes across in the profile is a surgeon also dedicated to his patients and the BPS Way - an ethos of care that puts the patient first.
